The invention relates to luggage-carrying elements 10, hatbox and the like which are preassembled during manufacture in indefinite lengths and then fitted to the vehicle structure. The elements consist principally of longitudinal support profiles 12, 14 and 16, generally made from aluminium, and transverse connection brackets 20, and they comprise covering panels 28, 30 with various dimensions, so as to form, in advance, spaces which are adapted to receive technical equipment/tools and/or to form spaces for luggage. <IMAGE>
