One or more transportation brackets (4) are erected in the cabins (2) between the side walls (3). The brackets extend across the space between the walls. Loose pieces of furniture (11) are held on the brackets. The cabins are then transported to the ship, fastened to the deck (1), and the floor is covered by a carpet. The furniture are removed from the brackets, and put in place, and the brackets are removed for re-use. The brackets are U- shaped, with a straight centre section (5) to hold the furniture, and two support legs (6,7).
