In a window for ovens, in particular domestic baking ovens, with a window construction which consists of a number of panes (10, 28, 32), at least one (28) of the panes is inclined in relation to the other panes (10, 32). This results in a lower external surface temperature of the external pane (32), which faces away from the high-temperature oven interior (12), of the multi-pane arrangement. The frame (16, 34) of the multi-pane arrangement can additionally have openings (36) at the top and at the bottom in the region between the external pane (32) and the central pane (28). By combination with this measure, which makes possible a convection of the external air through the external pane interspace (arrows 38), a further reduction of the temperature of the external pane (32) can be achieved. This air convection can be increased by the inclined central pane (28) converging upwards in relation to the external pane (32).

|
