A refrigerator cupboard suitable for storing live products such as bait, consists of a base module (6) which supports container modules (2,6). The base module (6) houses a refrigerating unit (8), an expansion vessel (10) and motor (12) to circulate the refrigerating liquid. A number of container units (2,4) are supported mechanically by the base module (6). Each container unit has pluggable entry and exit valves (36) and a valve (26) which is controlled by a temperature sensor (34) in the containing compartment (14) and either diverts coolant or circulates it through cooling coils (30).
