The present invention refers to an air filter in oil bath which comprises a plastic casing having an impure air inlet and a purified air outlet. A plastic central tube is disposed in the casing, over which a substantially cylindrical-shaped filtering means is attached. The casing includes a plastic cap on its geodesically lower end, the cap being restricted to the casing through elastic or embedding fastening means. A closure means is further included, which simultaneously constitutes the bottom portion of said filtering means, and extends up to the plastic cap.
