Protection from radiation, e.g. X-rays, is given by a device including at least one flap (1) which can be fixed in an unfolded or folded position. Fixing is pref. by press stud, hook-and-loop fastening, a strap, or a magnetic fastener attached to the flap. The flaps may pref. be fixed in different positions.
