By the method, food products having a high dietary fiber content and being tasty, non-perishable and nutritionally valuable may be prepared by controlled fermentation by means of microorganisms having useful properties in view of the technology, health, or the product. Furthermore, the possibilities of functioning of the wholesome useful microorganisms used are improved as the dietary fiber components protect the microorganism when they are passed in the digestive system.
