High pressure cleaning device

A high pressure cleaning apparatus has an electric motor driving a high pressure pump, both being in a common housing (8). This housing has an annular support face surrounding the casing (2) of the motor (1), the casing having cooling fins spaced around the periphery. Between the support surface and the cooling fins there may be an intermediate layer, or there may be direct contact. If present, the intermediate layer is in strips with longitudinal grooves into which the fins fit. The intermediate layer is formed from two sections on opposite sides of the casing, each having an angular span less than 180 degrees. The layer is made from an elastic material.
