<p>An improved jet dyeing apparatus enables the user to dye either lightweight or relatively heavy weight fabrics in the same apparatus with improved efficiency and product quality. The apparatus includes a fabric plaiting mechanism (107) mounted to the exit end of a fabric transport tube (111) and having a downwardly directed outlet nozzle (115). The outlet nozzle includes dye liquor bypass means (108) for withdrawing a portion of the dye liquor outside the primary path of travel of the fabric as the fabric is deposited into the liquid treatment chamber (110) of the apparatus and provisions are also made for removing a portion of the liquid from the jet dyeing apparatus and for recycling a portion of the liquid to the section side of the main recirculating pump (P).</p> |
