The coupling device (10) for coupling a cable (16) of a sewer and drain cleaning machine to a cutting tool comprises a housing (22), a cable connecting mechanism (24) for connecting the cable (16) to the housing (22), a cutting tool connecting mechanism (20) for rotatably connecting the cutting tool to the housing (22), and a breakable drive mechanism (40) for driving the cutting tool when the cable (16) and the housing (22) are rotated and breaking when a predetermined amount of torque is applied between the housing (22) and the cutting tool, wherein the predetermined amount of torque being less than the amount of torque needed to break the cable (16). |
