<p>A pulse generator (pg) outputs two different gate powers. A thyristor (LTT) is turned on by a first gate power, and the second gate power is applied to the thyristor (LTT) during a transition period in which the forward breakdown voltage is restored to a rated level after the thyristor valve current is cut off. The second gate power is so low that the thyristor (LTT) is not turned on by a normal application voltage.</p> |
