The IC device includes a voltage source (VDD), a switch (Q1) with one end connected to the voltage source, and a logic circuit (Lj) connected to the other end of the switch. Provided with the voltage source is a voltage source conductor (VDDV) which can be held by an electrical load. The switch is connected at its respective ends between the voltage source and the source voltage conductor. The logic switch has sequential switches and has two operational modes, e.g. active and standby. In active mode, the switch is continually conductive, while in standby mode the switch is intermittently conductive under control of a clock circuit (11).
