The disadvantage with known screw/dowel combinations is that, as a result of large thread pitches, the tightening torques are relatively high and, as a result of large tolerance values, the tightening torques diverge to a very great extent. Although, in the case of other known combinations, a uniform tightening torque is achieved by a complex structure, said screw/dowel combinations are very expensive to produce and cannot be exchanged with the known plastic screwed dowels. The novel screw/dowel combination makes it possible for uniform, low tightening torques to be achieved and for the combination to be exchangeable and compatible with the former system. In the case of the novel screw/dowel combination, the fastening element is a commercially available threaded rod (2) which, on its portion located within the dowel, exhibits a deformation (2a) for fixed anchorage in the dowel (1). The plastic dowel (1) is fixedly connected to the threaded rod (2) by being injection-moulded around it. The screw/dowel combination is preferably used for the fastening of rails.
