The invention concerns substituted 1-(pyridyl)-pyrazols of general formula (I) in which the substituents have the following meanings: R<1>: hydrogen, C1-C3 alkyl, halogen, C1-C3 alkyl halide; R<2>: C1-C4 alkyl, C2-C4 alkenyl, C2-C4 alkinyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, C3-C4 alkenyloxy, C3-C4 alkinyloxy, which can be substituted by 1 to 6 halogen atoms, NO2, cyano, halogen, rhodano, amino, furthermore a C(=O)R<7>, S(O)nR<8> or NH-C(=O)R<9> group; R<3>: amino, halogen, rhodano, cyano, nitro, hydroxy, C1-C3 alkyl, C1-C3 alkyl halide, furthermore an S(O)nR<8>, N(R<10>)R<11>, OR<12>, SR<13>, N=C(R<14>)-N(R<15>)R<16> group or, if R<1> = hydrogen, additionally N=C(R<17>)R<18>; R<4>: halogen, an XR<19> group or, if R<3> = N=C(R<14>)-N(R<15>)R<16> and N(R<10>)R<11> when R<10> = hydrogen or C(=O)R<7> and R<11> = C3-C4 alkenyl or C3-C4 alkinyl or, if R<6> = fluorine or trifluoromethyl, additionally hydrogen; and R<5>, R<6>: independently of each other, halogen or C1-C3 alkyl halide. The invention further concerns the N-oxides and salts of compounds (I) which can be used for agricultural purposes, processes for their preparation and their use as herbicides.
