Storing data records in digital memory for ROM stores e.g. CDs and read-write memories
摘要
The data record (D) contains data with a first (O) or a second (1) logic state. Data of the first logic state is made predominant in the record (D) if it is stored unchanged. Data of the second logic state (1) is made predominant in the record (D) if it is inverted before storage. Preferably, for the memory, the statistical error probability on storing data of the second logic state is greater than that for data of the first state (O). T The data record (D) is preferably inverted before storage so long as data of the second state (1) predominates. Information may be stored in the memory which indicates whether the data record is inverted on storage. The method may be carried out for several memories which are parts of a memory circuit. The memory may be a read only memory (ROM) or a read-write memory.
