<p>The present invention relates to an improvement of a method for fixing a work by freezing for machining. The method is characterised in that polymeric coagulating agent whose freezing point is higher than that of water is disposed at least between the work and a fixing surface, whereby the work is fixed by this polymeric coagulating agent acting as an adhesion medium. The polymeric coagulating agent may be of any of liquid, cream and paste types, and its typical main constituent is silicone oil. The work may directly be fixed to the fixing surface of the freeze chuck type device by the polymeric coagulating agent or may be fixed to the fixing surface in a state in which it is fixed to a pallet by the polymeric coagulating agent.</p> |
