A connection system for maximum pressure resistant screwed pipe joints with a standard retention body (1), a standard coupling ring (2), a pipe (7) and a sealing ring (4) is characterized in that an elastomer high-pressure seal is provided in the form of a first elastomer sealing element (5) placed between the face (8) of the retention body (1) and the sealing ring (4) and a second sealing element (6) placed between a face of the sealing ring facing the pipe (7) and the outer wall of the pipe or connection shank. Incorporating only slight technical modifications, the claimed system combines the advantages of a two-part ring system with the improved sealing action of less rigid systems, allowing damaged sealing elements to be replaced later on. It can be used both in pipe connections with cutting edge seals and in tapered seal connections.
