The stand has a vertical support rod (3) fitting through a central opening in the cymbal (1), which rests on a seating block (4) secured to the support rod. The cymbal is pressed against the seating block via a fixing secured to the free end of the support rod. The support rod can slide relative to the seating block. There is a stop element (8) at its free end fitting through the central opening in the cymbal when the support rod is extended, but prevented from passing through the opening upon retraction of the support rod by a compressed deformable sleeve (9).
