An electrical connector system for a signal wire (4) on a first circuit board (3) with another wire (7) on a second board (6) uses a conducting element (5) held in an insulating dielectric support 92), the ends of the element being joined to those of the wires. At least one of the two sides of the access opening (9) of the holder is screened by a conducting grill(14) which has smaller openings than the one for the element. The holder is the wall of a housing and the grill is also part of the housing. Although conducting, the grill is mated with another grill (16) which is non-conducting.
