The cleaning tools (7,14,15) are formed as brushes with bristles or bristle clusters, with a width of between 0.5 to 1.5 cm. and thickness of between 0.2 and 1.5 mm. Each bristle or bristle cluster consists of a large number of fibres. The distance between the free ends of the bristles or bristle clusters and the vehicle over the wash is adjusted by a computer unit in such a way that the bristles strike the vehicle by a length of not more that 5 cm.
