Suspension device (1) for a flexible container, preferably a sack, the device comprising a frame (5) provided with means (10) for securely fastening the container with its contents to the device (1). At one side, the device comprises carrier means for enabling transport and/or fixation of the container with its possible content. The invention also relates to a method for sustaining a suspension device to the human body in an ergonomically correct way. The container is adapted to the human body in that carrier means (4, 6 and 7 respectively) are constituted by a first leg (4) protruding from the frame, mainly in the same plane as the one defined by the frame (5), which first leg (4) is bent in the two more steps relative to said plane defined by the frame (5), on the one hand in a first step from 70 DEG to 90 DEG into a plane that is twisted between 60 DEG and 90 DEG with relation to said first plane to constitute a second leg (6), and on the other hand bent between 80 DEG and 120 DEG into a plane that mainly is parallel to the plane defined by the frame (5) to constitute a third leg (7).
