A connector for playing cards and the like is disclosed which, in one example (see Figure) comprises a thin tubular shell (12) divided into longitudinal slats (16) by thin slits (14) that have external chamfers (15) to facilitate the entry of cards therein. The shell (12) is held together by an integrally moulded web (20) formed centrally in the shell, the web having a central hub (26) and being divided into segments (22) by slots (24). The slots are preferably wider than the slits (14) so that cards are comparatively loosely accommodated therein. The connector is preferably formed in one piece by injection moulding from a tough flexible plastics material.
