Improved cargo heating system for tankers and product carriers, in which system the cargo discharge pumps (3) are directly or indirectly operated by a steam turbine (2) modified so that it can be used both for discharge of the cargo as well as for circulation heating of the same cargo by means of the steam turbine exhaust channel being equipped with a stop valve (5) to the condensor (4) and a stop valve (6) and connected pipeline from the turbine exhaust to a deck mounted heat exchanger (1), to which the steam is led after first having passed through the turbine (2) which operates the pump (3) circulating the oil in the tank (11) through the deck mounted heat exchanger (1).
