Process for stabilizing the content of glycated protein of a sample on a matrix material

The content of glycosylated proteins (I) in a sample on a matrix material (MM) is stabilised by impregnating MM with (a) boric acid buffer of pH 10.5 or more or (b) transition metal salt. Also new are (1) the impregnated MM; (2) element for collecting, transporting and storing comprising impregnated MM and (3) system consisting of MM and a wrapper for transporting it.
