In the present state of the art, a closed cooling circuit containing a heating and a cooling device is used to cool liquid sulphur in a conditioning device. According to the invention, the liquid to be cooled is pressurised in such a way that it is kept at its evaporation temperature corresponding to the conditioning temperature of the narrow temperature range. Use for preconditioning liquid sulphur.
