Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) elastomers (I) are obtd. by reacting (A) di-isocyanates and (B) polyhydroxy cpds. and/or polyamines with (C) chain extenders comprising mixts. of (C1) a benzene deriv. substd. with at least two hydroxyalkyl, hydroxyalkoxy, aminoalkyl and/or aminoalkoxy gps. and (C2) a 4-44C alkanediol, in a mole ratio of (C1):(C2) = (60:40)-(95:5).
