<p>Each profile or group of profiles during cross transport is secured by tongs at the ends, each stage of the transport involving its own set of tongs. The cross rails guiding the tongs are formed as bridges (22,23,24) with running crabs (20) spanning the length of the cross transport. The cross rails are supported at their ends by longitudinal bearers (26, 27) arranged parallel to the press outlet (2). The bridges (24), adjustable in the profile longitudinal direction, can move by means of carriages on the longitudinal bearers. Each bridge carriage, moving at the same time, can be fixed in relation to the longitudinal bearers.</p> |
