<p>the circuit breaker includes, for each phase, a breaking chamber which encloses moving main and arc contacts (14,15) and a quenching piston (18) in line with a fixed arc contact (11). The closure resistance (5) in series with the latter is inserted by means of a ring (22) sliding with electrical contact (23) along the fixed arc contact, and an insulating cylindrical plunger (28) urged against the ring by a spring (29). When the circuit is open, the distance (d1) of a ring of contacts (25) surrounding the plunger from the moving main contact, and the distance (d2) between additional contacts (31,32) on the sliding ring and on fixed metallic arms (33), are at least equal to the isolation spacing.</p> |
