PURPOSE:To optically correct a scanning distortion by providing an image forming optical system for scanning without a distortion a line image formed on the surface to be scanned by a luminous flux emitted from a line image light source in which many light emitting parts have been arranged in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The title scanner is provided with a line image light source 20 in which many light emitting parts have been arranged in parallel, a polygon mirror 30 being a deflector which turns centering around a rotation axis (l) and allows a luminous flux emitted from the line image light source 20 to scan, and an image forming optical system 40 having an optical axis (x) on the scanning surface vertical to the rotation axis (l), and between the line image light source 20 and the polygon mirror 30, a collimating lens 50 is provided. In this state, the luminous flux which has been emitted from the line image light source 20 reaches the reflecting surface 31 of the polygon mirror 30 through the collimating lens 50, reflected and deflected at this reflecting surface 31, and forms a line image corresponding to a light emission pattern of the line image light source 20 on a plane to be scanned through the image forming optical system 40. In such a way, a two-dimensional image being free from a distortion can be formed, it is also possible to form the two-dimensional image by a scan of once, and it is also possible to form the image quickly. |
