A developer supply container (8) for supplying a developer for developing a latent image formed on the photosensitive member (1), wherein the container is inserted into a developer accommodating container (3A) which is provided in a process cartridge (5), through an entrance opening (3B), and the developer is supplied while the container is in the developer accommodating container, and wherein the entrance opening (3B) is covered by an openable cover (3C), and wherein when the developer supply container is mounted and demounted, the openable cover (3C) is opened, the developer accommodating container (3A) being usable with an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, the developer supply container (8) includes a developer accommodating portion for accommodating the developer; a supply opening (8B) for supplying the developer accommodated in the developer accommodating portion to the developer accommodating container (3A); a seal member (12) for openably sealing the supply opening; a closing member for closing the openable cover, while the developer supply container (8) is mounted in the developer accommodating container (3A), wherein when the developer supply container (8) is not mounted in the developer accommodating container (3A), the openable cover (3C) is not closable. |
