[Also in Division B3] A window frame comprises a glazing channel 11 having walls 10 which define a space for the glass to be fitted therein a lug 12 pressed outwardly from one wall of the glazing channel to leave a recess between the lug and said space and an element rigidly fixed to the lug by means which enter said recess but do not enter the space defined by the walls of the glazing channel. In the construction shown n there are two lugs and the element is a catch handle 14 for holding the window frame in a closed position; the mounting of the catch handle is held to the lugs by bolts 15 and nuts 16 the bolts passing through apertures in the lugs and the nuts being located in the recesses. In another construction the handle is rigidly attached to the lugs by means of a moupting which is cast around both of the lugs, passes through the apertures and is also cast round the pivot of the handle. The element can alternatively be a pivot shoe.</p> |
