PURPOSE:To absorb strain caused by earthquake or thermal expansion as well as error of widths of sheating roof boards by a method in which notches to be fitted with ridge caps are formed in the side folded edge and the side edge of a ridge cover is inserted in a slidable manner into the notches. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral edge of a ridge end closing plate 6 is bent toward back side to form a folded edge 7, and a space 10 is formed on the back side of the top folded edge 8. A fitting projected piece 11 is provided from the lower part to back side of the space 10 of the edge 8 and a notch 14 to be fitted with ridge cover is formed in the side folded edge 13 lower than the edge 8. A ridge cover G is slidably inserted into the notch 14 from its tip and a ridge cap E is attached through the piece 11 so that the plate 6 is positioned on the end of the connected part of roof plates. The end of a ridge reinforcing plate 9 set on the connected part is fitted into the space 10. |
