PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and quickly judge the residual capacity of a storage battery by judging whether each deviation, which is obtained by computing a difference of the voltage disending slope of a storage battery and a difference of the terminal voltage at the time after an operation time required for the longest emergency operation from the time of generating a limiting voltage, is respectively positive and negative or not so as to judge the existence of the residual capacity of the storage battery. SOLUTION: A residual capacity judging device 26 with a built-in timer generates the residual capacity measuring command to an emergency control device 25 at the measurement starting time, which is previously set in the time zone at a low utilization frequency of elevator. The emergency control device 25 receives the residual capacity measuring command, and opens normally open contacts 3, 4, and while closes normally closed contacts 15, 16 so as to switch the circuit structure to the circuit structure at the emergency saving operation time of an elevator by a normal time control device 1. The operation for judging the residual capacity of a storage battery 21 by the residual capacity judging device 26 is performed by computing the inclination of the temperature corrected terminal voltage and the temperature corrected discharging voltage of the storage battery 21 after measuring the discharging characteristic in relation to the time, and comparing them with values of the standard discharging characteristic. |
