摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect not only a random error, but also a burst error and improve the precision of a decision on line quality as to radio communication equipment which uses a digital portable telephone line. SOLUTION: An error correcting circuit which is equipped with an exclusive OR part 1 and an error correction part 2 and corrects an error by using a BCH code is provided with a line quality decision part 11 equipped with a measurement part 3 which counts the correction signal S2 from the error correction part 2 by each bit, an addition part 4 which finds the total of counted values, and a comparison part 5 which decides that one of the counted values is larger than a specific threshold value signal S6. When the error frequency signal S4 from the addition part 4 exceeds a specific value, the generation of a random error is decided and when even one of bits exceeds S6, a burst error signal S5 becomes high, so that a following communication control circuit, etc., performs a process for temporary stopping the transmission of data, etc.
