PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change melody in such a manner that the music after the melody conversion maintains the tone of the original music in the case where the melody is converted to another melody by changing the pitch data of the notes constituting the melody. SOLUTION: The first and second tables of the conversion data corresponding to respective sets of the pitch data of the arbitrary tones are stored in a data ROM 9. The pitch data of the arbitrary notes without having accidentals and the pitch data of the notes having the accidentals in the arbitrary notes correspond to the same digital data in the first table. The second table is composed of the pitch data corresponding to the digital data of the first table and the pitch data in this case corresponds to the pitch data of the notes having no accidentals. A CPU 5 executes prescribed arithmetic operation by converting the pitch data within one measure to the conversion data of the first table, retrieves the pitch data of the second table corresponding to the conversion data of the result of the arithmetic operation and determines the retrieved pitch data as the fresh pitch data. |
