PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form high-performance color filters at a low cost by flattening the patterns formed by a flexographic printing method. SOLUTION: Color pixels 11 to 13 of red, green and blue are successively formed by the flexographic printing method on the front surface of a glass substrate G. Black matrix parts 14 are further formed by black photosensitive ink on the surface formed with these color pixels of three colors and are subjected to prebaking. Next, the respective color pixels 11 to 13 and the black matrix parts 14 are irradiated with UV rays capable of exposing these pixels and parts from the tight contact surfaces with the glass substrate G down to a desired thickness by back face exposure by using a photolithographic technique, by which the properties of these pixels and matrix parts are changed. Next, the exposed glass substrate G is immersed into a developer to remove the unexposed parts, i.e., the parts of the prescribed thickness or above from the tight contact surface with the glass substrate G, by which the color pixels 11 to 13 and the black matrix parts 14 are flattened. Even if the color pixels 11 to 13 have defective parts 13c, the black matrix parts 14 fill these parts, thereby preventing the drop-outs. |
