PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To very easily produce in one step a sealing material comprising a polyurethane foam having an open-cell structure and yet having excellent capability of sealing against the passage of water. SOLUTION: This sealing lateral is produced by mixing a polyisocyanate, polyol(s) to be reacted with the polyisocyanate and comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of polyols having a functionality of 2 to 3 and a molecular weight of 2,000 to 8,000 and/or at least one selected from the group consisting of polyols having a functionality of 2 to 4 and a molecular weight of 600 to 2,000, and a foam stabilizer comprising an organosilicon compound having terminal OR groups and used for forming an open-cell rigid polyurethane to alloy the mixture to foam. The product polyurethane foam of 10mm in thickness has an air permeability of at most 20cc/cm<2> /sec. |
