PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of light from between black masks and color filters, the mispositioning of these black masks and the consequent occurrence of variations in the arranging states of respective pixels and their sizes. SOLUTION: This color filter substrate has black mask layers 12a which air first layers and consist of light shieldable resins formed in the prescribed positions on the transparent substrate, plural colors of the color filters RF, GF, BF formed on the substrate of the regions on the inner side of the first layer of the black mask layers 12a in such a manner that their edges overlap on the edges of the first layer of the black mask layers 12a and black mask layers 12b which are second layers and consist of the light shieldable resins and are formed within the spacings between the adjacent color filters RF, GF, BF at the level of nearly the same height as the height of the respective color filters RF, GF, BF. |
