MAGNETIC TAPE FLUCTUATION CONTROLLER FOR HELICAL SCAN TYPE ROTARY DRUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the magnetic tape fluctuation controller of a helical scan type rotary drum capable of controlling the fluctuation of a magnetic tape against a rotary drum. SOLUTION: This magnetic tape fluctuation controller is composed of a rotary drum 1 and an auxiliary means 2. The rotary drum 1 has a video head 3 and a head disk 4 integrally rotated therewith. For the traveling direction of a magnetic tape 7, two regulating pins 5 for regulating the upper edge of the magnetic tape 7 are arranged in the front and rear sides of the rotary drum l. The auxiliary means 2 is composed of two rotary posts 6 and 6'. The first post 6 is arranged in a position in which the video head 3 starts to be in contact with the magnetic tape 7 and the magnetic tape 7 is pressed to the rotary drum 1. The second post 6' is arranged in a position in which the video head 3 moves away from the magnetic tape 7 and the magnetic tape 7 is pressed to the rotary drum 1 side. The first post 6 has a circumferential groove for permitting the passage of the video head 3 and the second post 6' also has a similar groove.
