PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layout processor which is capable of easily confirming whether the rectangular composition area prepared on the screen of a DTP is arranged at a desired location or not. SOLUTION: After each of the four vertex coordinates of the composition area displayed within an xy coordinate is detected based on the xy coordinate which is preliminarily set to a DTP (step 1), starting coordinates are selected from these vertex coordinates (step 2). Subsequently, the space between the starting coordinate and the vertex coordinate located away from the starting coordinate in the (x) direction is defined as an arrangement width and an operation is performed (step 3). The space between the starting coordinate and the vertex coordinate located away from the starting coordinate in the (y) direction is defined as an arrangement height and the calculation is performed (step 4). Further, the operated starting coordinates 31, the arrangement width 32 and the arrangement height 33 are displayed on a screen (step 6). |
