PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label continuous material capable of removing the contaminant bonded to a thermal head by applying thermal printing to a label continuous material having no release paper. SOLUTION: A cleaning tape 30 for cleaning a thermal head is continuously and integrally formed to one end part of a label continuous material 10 in the longitudinal direction thereof. The cleaning tape 30 has a base material 14 which is common to the base material 14 of the label continuous material 10. A cleaning layer 32 having the coefficient of friction higher than that of the base material 14 is formed by coating the surface of the base material 14 with a compsn. prepared by dispersing extender pigment in a binder and drying and curing the coating layer. By forming the cleaning layer 32 having the coefficient of friction highder than that of the base material 14, the friction force of the cleaning tape 30 is enhanced to enhance the force removing the contaminant of the leading end of the thermal head.
