<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability and operability by setting multiple bins of a sorter as a sorting unit in the paper discharge mode, and copying documents exceeding the number of pages dischargeable into one bin. SOLUTION: In the two-bin fixed mode using two bins as a sorting unit, paper is first discharged into the lower bin 120-1 of the first bin, then paper is continuously discharged into the upper bin 120-2 after the lower bin 120-1 becomes full. When documents exceeding the number of prescribed pages are copied, copies up to the prescribed pages are discharged into the lower bins of sorting units in sequence, e.g. the lower bin 120-1 of the first bin, the lower bin 120-3 of the second bin, and the lower bin 120-5 of the third bin. Copies after the prescribed pages are discharged into the upper bins of the sorting units, e.g. the upper bin 120-1 of the first bin, the upper bin 120-2 of the second bin, and the upper bin 120-4 of the third bin. The documents exceeding the number of dischargeable pages in the bins can be sorted, and the workability can be improved.</p> |
