摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core aligning method for connecting optical fibers with low loss and a core aligning device which is small, light and simple as well as an optical connector forming method and a device therefor. SOLUTION: The method for connecting the optical fibers 1-1, 1-2 on fixing V-grooves consists of a first procedure of butting the end faces of the two optical fibers 1-1, 1-2 to be connected on the V-grooves 9a, 9b, a second procedure of observing the core images of the optical fibers 1-1, 1-2 from one flank surface of the optical fibers 1-1, 1-2 while rotating the respective optical fibers 1-1, 1-2 on the V-grooves 9a, 9b, then searching the rotating angles of the respective optical fibers in such a manner that their respective observed core images exist on one side of the visual fields for observation bisected by the central axes of the optical fibers 1-1, 1-2 and that the respective core images part furthest from the central axis of the optical fibers 1-1, 1-2 and a third procedure of fixing the respective optical fibers at the rotating angles.
