摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool down friction heat through increasing a supply amount of oil to a frictional interface of a frictional plate, by forming an oil dam protruded inward in an internal surface side of a retaining plate, and an oil groove to a side of an external surface of a piston, and forming an oil sump between the oil dam and the oil groove. SOLUTION: An oil dam 22 protruded inward is formed in an internal surface side of a retaining plate 19, an oil groove 23 is formed to a side of an external surface of a piston 18, and an oil sump 24 is formed between the oil dam 22 and the oil groove 23. When plates 16, 17 are pressed by operating an oil pressure in the piston 18, these plates are gradually connected while generating friction with a drum 12 and a hub 14 rotating at an equal speed, and turning force of the hub 14 is transmitted to the drum 12. Here, an oil pressure is generated in the oil sump 24 by centrifugal force caused by rotating the hub 14, oil is forced to flow in a facing groove of small section, a supply amount of oil to a frictional interface of a friction plate 20 is increased, and seizure of a clutch can be prevented by cooling frictional heat of the frictional interface.</p>
