PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new composition keeping characteristics of nonaqueous dispersion resin itself and excellent in performances of coating such as weather resistance. SOLUTION: This stable nonaqueous dispersion type resin composition is obtained by copolymerizing vinylic monomers in an organic solvent which dissolves vinylic monomers, but does not dissolve vinylic polymers (A) obtained from the monomers in the presence of a polymer (B) modified with a silicone compound, containing the silicone compound in an amount of about 1-60wt.% and capable of dissolving into the above organis solvent. The silicone compound is preferably expressed by an organopolysiloxane, etc., having a functional group of the formula [R is OH group, etc., binding to C-Si bond; R' is H, an alkyl, etc.; (n) is 0.5-2.0; (m) is 0.0-2.5]. Furthermore, the component A is preferably obtained by using, as essential components, a vinyl ester ofα,β-unsaturated (di)carboxylic acid and vinyl acetate as monomers having copolymerizable unsaturated double bonds forming the component A.
