PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form plural reference patches developed on a photoreceptor even in the case there is limitation on the place or timing capable of forming the reference patch. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, an image is formed according to image information given to the rotating photoreceptor 42, and the formed image is transferred to a transfer medium; and plural reference patches having different density are formed by the patch forming part 29 of an image processing part 2 and given to an image forming part 4, so that plural patch images divided into prescribed number of groups and having the different density are formed at the nonimage part of the photoreceptor 42 synchronously with the rotation of the photoreceptor 42 for every group, and the density of the patch image formed on the photoreceptor 42 is detected by a photosensor 48, then the image forming condition of the image forming part 4 is controlled by an image forming condition control part 41, based on the detected density. |
