PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the formation of a bulkily raised image such as a raised letter or the like through transferring by a method wherein an expansible ink layer is heated in the shape of an image, fixed to a body to be transferred under pressure, separated from heat transfer sheet and transferred to the body to be transferred so as to expand the expansible ink layer transferred in the shape of image through the irradiation of light in order to form a three-dimensionally raised image. SOLUTION: In the method for forming a raised image, a heat transfer sheet 30, in which an expansible ink layer 3 is formed on one side of a base material 1, is used. The method is to overlap the heat transfer sheet 30 and a body to be transferred 10 with each other and, after the expansible ink layer 3 is heated in the shape of an image and fixed under pressure to the body to be transferred 10, the expansible ink layer 3 in the shape of the image is separated from the heat transfer sheet 30 in order to be transferred to the body to be transferred 10. After that, by applying light to the transferred expansible ink layer 3, the transferred expansible ink layer 3 in the shape of image is expanded so as to form a three-dimensionally raised image. Thus, without giving damage to the base material 1 of a heat transfer sheet 30, a bulkily raised image such as raised letter or the like can be formed. |
