A metal hose or the like clamping band for encircling a hose to be clamped has a series of holes 3 at one end any one of which can receive a tooth 7 adjacent the other end, the band adjacent the holes having a U-shaped portion 4 which in use is collapsed (by a pair of pliers) to apply tension to the band. The end 5 of the band adjacent the tooth 7 extends under the U-shaped portion 4. The band may be initially curved to the shape of the pipe to which the hose is to be connected. |
