PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a liq. detergent compsn. which has excellent detergency by comprising a cationic surfactant selected from among quaternary ammonium salts represented by a particular formula, an amphoteric surfactant selected from betaines, and a fatty acid or a salt thereof. SOLUTION: A cationic surfactant of a quaternary ammonium salt (a), represented by formula I or II (wherein R<1> and R<3> represent a 6-20C alkyl or an alkenyl; R<2> represents a methyl, a 6-20C alkyl or the like; X represents a halogen or the like; R<4> represents a 1-30C alkyl or the like; R<5> represents H or a 1-5C alkyl; R<6> represents a 1-30C alkenyl or the like; (l) and (n) are 0 to 3; (p) and (m) are 0 or 1; and A represents formula III), is used. The component (a), an amphoteric surfactant of a betaine (b) represented by formula IV (wherein R<7> represents a 8-22C alkyl or the like; R<8> and R<9> represent an optionally OH-substituted 1-5C alkyl; Y represents H or OH; and (r), (s), and (t) are 1 to 3), and a fatty acid (c) represented by the formula, R"COOM (wherein R represents a 7-17C alkyl or the like; and M represents H, an alkali metal or the like) are mixed together in the following wt. ratios to prepare a detergent compsn.:a:b=(9:1) to (1:9); a+b:c=(20:1) to (1:1); and a+b+c=0.1 to 30wt.%. |
