PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display plate for a timepiece wherein diffusion of light of an EL substrate is controlled, luminance is heightened and production of a striped pattern can be prevented by uniform emission. SOLUTION: A display plate for a timepiece 4 consists of a transparent resin substrate 6 having formed a minute prism 6a on the surface. The transparent resin substrate 6 collects light from an EL substrate 2 in the direction of an upper face. Luminance is steeply heighten, because diffusing light from the EL substrate 2 is condensed.
